| Bruce
Cunningham and George Woodland founded Cunningham Woodland Inc. in
1980, as a custom procedure tray producer. Both principals came from
a national hospital supply distribution company. In 1988 the Production
Company was sold to Sterile Concepts of Richmond, Virginia, at which
time CWI had approximately 80% market share in the New England market.
Subsequently, the charter was rewritten to include a specialty surgical
supply distribution division.
We
are committed to meeting your needs through immediate delivery,
in-service consultants, Internet information and ordering access.
The goal at CWI is to be the dominant specialty surgical supply
company in New England.
We added a surgical instrument repair service department to our
business in the fall of 1996. We currently operate three trucks
serving as mobile work shops providing onsite surgical instrument
refurbishing and repairs. The growth of our business has prompted
us to add an instrument repair facility. This now enables us to
do a variety of extensive repairs and provides services to smaller
facilities which do not require on site repairs.
CWI
now represents companies that have products and services that are
specifically used in the operating room and sterile processing department
and focuses its attention on the relationships with the operating
room personnel, heads of specialties, and key surgeons. We are here
to provide solutions to meet your needs.
Products
and services offered by CWI will serve the end user, while trying
to keep the related costs in line with the demands of the managed
care environment. In addition to the American Surgical products,
which are primarily laparoscopic, we represent many surgical manufacturers.
For a complete list please see our vendor profile. Our sales force
of five, complimented by a clinical specialist and an in-service
specialist, cover the six New England states.
